The Webster Town Board is meeting in workshop session at 5:30 p.m. tonight, Thursday, June 14, at Town Hall, 1000 Ridge Road.

The agenda had included a discussion on interpretations of the town’s zoning code with regards to an interest, on the part of Tops Supermarket, to build on 10 acres behind 1041 Ridge Road. That discussion item was subsequently removed from the agenda, at the request of the applicant on Tuesday.

The board will still be meeting to again take up a request to establish a Progressive Development District for a 190-unit, four-building Hard Road senior housing project. The board did hold a public hearing on the project at its meeting last Thursday, June 7, but gave the applicant, CDS Monarch, a week to incorporate board concerns like the fourth building being too close to Hard Road. The project was recommended by the Planning Board following its meeting June 5, but does have to go back to that board for other approvals.

The applicant has agreed to put in a traffic signal at the intersection of Hard Road and Publishers Parkway when Phase 1 of the project is complete and before the start of Phase 2.
