Abigail has been at CDS Monarch for just over a year, joining the team as a physical therapist in May of 2014. Abigail's responsibilities include working on functional independence, mobility related independence, and delaying the progression of disabilities through movement and exercise. Abigail works with both the people we serve in our residences as well as the Veterans in Warrior Salute.

"Abbie is an exceptional Physical Therapist," Clinical Support Services Manager Rebecca Stewart said. "Her clinical skills are matched by her willingness to work in a team at each of her sites. She anticipates the needs of the individuals, and she goes the extra mile in everything that she does to ensure that she provides excellent care and customer service."

Abigail said her favorite part of her job is "getting the opportunity to build relationships with a number of individuals that CDS Monarch serves, as well as the staff. I really value the one-on-one time that [my job] allows me that you don't get in the traditional outpatient physical therapy world." Abigail said she likes the variety--the nature--of her job duties, and that no two days are alike. "It provides a constant challenge," Abigail said. "Every day is a learning and growing experience on a personal and professional level."
Abigail said, in terms of working at CDS Monarch, "be open minded and flexible. Flexibility is a huge, important factor in this agency. Take things as they come. There's always something to be learned from every experience."
In her free time, Abigal likes to drink coffee, do crossword puzzles, and travel. She recently went to the Women's World Cup in Canada and to Peru for a physical therapy service trip. She said she likes to travel anywhere and everywhere.
Thank you, Abigail, for your dedication to the people we serve!
