July is Kristin Carges' fifth year at CDS Monarch. She started as a behavior specialist but moved up to manager of behavior services just a few months ago. Kristin is in charge of reviewing behavior support plans and managing the behavior services team.

"Kristin is one of the hardest working professionals at CDS Monarch," Andrew Sewnauth, Vice President of Community Living Operations, said. "She's a proven behavior specialist and understands the needs of our individuals very well. You can always depend on her to give you honest feedback, and she is approachable with concerns and issues."

Kristin serves as the chairperson for the Human Rights Committee, and also serves on the informed consent committee and the guardianship committee. She has also participated in the CDS Monarch leadership development class.
Kristin said she likes seeing the growth of the individuals and being a part of that growth. She likes "seeing the independence," and enjoys the "challenges of the job because you never know what to expect from day to day. I like making a difference in their lives."
In her free time, Kristin likes to spend time with her friends and family. She's also working on obtaining her Master's degree in social work, and she's getting married in October.
Thank you, Kristin, for your dedication to the people we serve!
