Kim Gardner has worked at CDS Monarch for one year as the Human Resources Administrative Assistant. Her duties include getting all new hires ready to begin employment, reference checks, checking DMV records, maintaining criminal justice center logs as well as all background logs.

"Kim works diligently with all of our newly hired employees to get their new hire paperwork done, including all of Justice Center and OPWDD requirements so that they can start training quickly and efficiently," Director of Staff Development Claudia Gallipeau said. "Kim is not afraid to jump in and help out in the HR Department any way that she can. She has also recently taken on the role of HR Suite Decorator, keeping the hallway looking festive and happy. Thanks to Kim for all of your hard work this past year! We appreciate everything that you do!"

Kim is also on the Human Resources committee in which she helps to strategize CDS Monarch hiring and recruitment.

Kim said the best part of her job is the people with whom she works. "I work for a great department," she said. "There are great opportunities here if people want to take advantage of them. [The employees] do good for the community and the people they serve. I'm glad I work here and am able to grow with the company."

In her spare time, Kim likes to watch her grandchildren and spend time with her family. She also likes to go to estate sales.
