"I feel good about doing this," says Tim. "I know I am making a difference, and the pay is in the reward, not the other way around."
Staff members Edith Carnamella, Lorna Kerr and Sherese Hollis have also found joy and opportunity in becoming Family Care Providers for individuals at CDS Monarch.
"I wanted to help people," shared Edith. "I do this to give back, not to get rich."
Over the course of the next year, CDS Monarch is looking to grow its Family Care services, and is currently looking for people interested in becoming Family Care Providers. This is a great opportunity for anyone to enhance the quality of life for someone with developmental disabilities and welcome a new member into their family. Additionally, Family Care Providers receive financial reimbursement for room and board, services provided to each individual and monthly caregiver service payments.
If you are interested in taking the next steps to become a Family Care Provider, please contact Tanya Seffens at (585) 347-1260, or consider attending an upcoming information session on September 24th at 5:00pm or November 19th at 5:00pm at the Wolf Life Transitions Center (860 Hard Road, Webster, NY).
