Sue incorporates Journey to ACHIEVE every day at work. Each week she has the Turk 2 residents pick out the food that they would like to order from Foodlink for their meals. When she gets home they help her put everything away. This makes everyone feel as though they are contributing to their home. The Foodlink application was something Sue worked on, and as a result, the house has saved a lot of money. Currently, she is writing a grant to renovate one of the rooms as a sensory room. Additionally, Sue supports three residents in their choice to participate in Special Olympics, as well as their desire for learning, through weekly trips to the library.
"The best thing about my job is the ability to expand into other areas - financial, legal, medical - I am learning a tremendous amount and feel more empowered," she says.
In her free time, Sue likes to connect with people who share her passion for learning. Her family is also an important part of her life and she enjoys spending time with her grandkids. Thank you Sue for all that you do at CDS Monarch!
